Wow. What these two simple words pack is a power punch!
Insert the words parents:
Trust and obey-
for there's no other way-
to be happy with your parents...
then to trust and obey!
Lol, sorry but that is just TOO good. And So true!
I love the model that God gives us as the ultimate parent. We need to trust HIM, obey HIM and our children must trust US and obey US as well. God must be the ultimate authority in the home ..they have to see this in us to be sure. Do we fail? Uh, yes. But still, they trust and obey us as they witness us trust and obey Him.
We teach the girls that even when they don't always understand us, that they still need to trust and obey us. The same way that God teaches us to do the same. What happens when we fail to trust and obey Him? Trouble! What happens when they fail to trust and obey us? Trouble! It's a beautiful thang, this trustin' and obeyin'!
Shalom ya'll.

How many times during disciplining my children have I felt God's gentle tap on my shoulder?!
Amen to that! I always get it when I am crying out to the Lord in frustration like: Lord! HOW MANY TIMES do I have to....and he is gently reminds me, Well how many times do (I) have to?
