God's gifts in a big box

Well, it is a weird thing to be sure. Ya'll have heard my secret desire for a flat screen TV.
I don't even know WHY. I'm a bad consumer, that's probably why.
I mean, we don't let the kids watch any regular TV anyway so unless we need to watch Paula Deen in HD or Toy Story Two for the 10 catrillionth time, who NEEDS one?

So, my Mom of course, buys herself one at Christmas time in prep for moving into her new place. Nothing huge. A 32 inch.
But her deal falls through so she is currently not moving.

As we were discussing what in the world to get for my fantabulous hubby for his birthday which is TODAY by the way, Sloan suggests a Flat screen. Haha.

So my Mom goes, you can have mine. It's just sitting in the garage. I haven't even taken it out of the box! After lamenting that I could NEVER accept that, I mean come on now...I did.

I mean, Happy Birthday Darling!

The weird thing? It wouldn't have initially been the size I chose because I am pathetic, but Jeff said if we DID ever get one it would NOT be going over the mantle of the fireplace as I suggested, Lol but should fit INSIDE the TV armoir. So, guess where it fits perfectly?

The OTHER thing I didn't know (because I am so technologically savvy) is that HD is a SERVICE that you have to pay for monthly. So....we'll see about that. I don't think I can bring myself to pay for it. Besides, the movies come in HD and that's really why we thought we would ever want one.

But for now, Ratatouille never looked so good!
