California gave up Grandpa Howard for a week! EVERYONE loves Grandpa Howard. He is always ready with a book or a game. Kate amazingly took a shine to him right off. Not like her as you all know. She jumped right up on him like she knew he belonged to her. He played croquet with the girls while drinking a glass of Paisano. He can play chess for hours and hike 50 miles in a day. He is almost 90. We spoil him like mad. Every moment a gift.

Wow! I can see what a fantastic Grandad he is! Involved and fun! I'm so glad the girls have him. I miss my own grandad terribly sometimes...
:0( That's sad! I really lament that we don't have fantastic extended family to enjoy...only one here and one there that are not so dysfunctional that we can't be around them, Lol.
I'm going to be sure that the girl's husband's will LOVE their MIL!!!
