Tex-Mex by the Mex

Some might say it's kinda sad that a REAL honest to goodness Mexican makes a Tex-Mex meal but hey, this ain't your American Mom's Tex Mex meal...Tacos are a favorite at our home and always what we serve when we want someone to REALLY like us. Homemade salsa is a must. Fried tortillas and I dare you to try to beat my guacamole. Lol
We actually didn't make guac tonight. (When Lauren was younger she called it "wackamoley", probably a take off from her fave game whack-a mole)

Anyway, here's a peek. Anyone up for taco night? Let me know and we'll make a date. Then maybe you'll REALLY like us! :)

P.S. When I lived in NYC there was this great little Mexican place we used to go right next to a Gas station. Can you guess what it was called? First one to answer correctly wins a basket of mineral waters.

We already like you!
The girls loved your tacos when they stayed...I heard all about them and your excellent pasta sauce (as good as mine I guess, boo hoo)
now i have to try and think of the name of the mexican place

Oh, by the way, yes, I'm up for a taco. Then I'll like you even more.

I'm sure the name of the place has something to do with getting gas, and not the petroleum kind. How about, "Tacos, Burritos, and Beans; Gas is Free"

Steph C. said...

OMG that's funny. But no. It does have something to do with the gas station though.

I love how you always participate Tif. Guess again!

was it Pass the Gas(I'm thinking not)
The Pump Station
FILL-ER-UP
oh, i am just dying to know the answer to this!

No no, you guys are way off track. Think of a gas station name (that was a MAJOR hint!)
and Mexican food...there is no potty humor play on words...doubt that would work well for a restaraunt though the name isn't exactly super appetizing either. Lol

I have no idea...i just am not that clever...i give up...too much pressure for me

And by the way, anonymous is close enough and wins.

Correct answer is Mexico by Texaco.

Yep, it's a real place!
