In next issue of LFM, there will be the best article titled "Staycation" by Maria Slaby.
I guess I am giving away a bit of editorial here but I trust your all's discretion.
The idea is that you have vacation at home....and all the details of what that entails. No chores, doing things differently, not doing any of your regular at home stuff, sleeping somewhere different in the house. You get the idea...
I used to despise coming to Vero but really was looking forward to it this time. I needed it! So we are doing "Staycation".
Instead of constantly saying "No, I don't want to swim right now"...I bought two bathing suits and am swimming with the kids. I bought junk food. I let the kids stay up late. Watch movies, play DS, watch hour after hour of the French open...I do most of the chores.
Everyone is on the upswing from being sick..jsut the bad chesty cough holding on and Jeff still is pretty sick. But we are still enjoying "Staycation".
We are going to meet Cheryl for coffee in the am...(that's "Chewi" you guys!) and we'll take pics to blog about. I am meeting an old friend (Trish) for lunch and doing some shopping.
I can't believe it. It really works. We are on "Staycation". I realize it helps that we are actually at another house but it is still our old house, not a real "vacation" destination. I realize that through this economic downturn...there are many things to be thankful for.
We are blessed to be able to come here an lounge by a pool, see family, and generally Staycate.
Check out my tan when we get back. :)
Shalom Ya'll
