Kate is such a little mommy already. It is no coincidence that it seems to be innate that a little girl, even as young as ONE will be nurturing a baby. It is built in for a reason. If you don't know the old argument of Barbie dolls vs. Baby dolls, here it is. Little up and coming women practice mothering with babies and practice almost everything BUT mothering with other types of dolls. Though, depending on how kids are raised, I think Barbies can be fine as well. My girls are always putting long skirts on a Barbie and strapping on a baby in a sling...so much for "Career Barbie". In this house, Barbie is barefoot and pregnant, as it should be! DEATH to feminism!! WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! Glory to God!!! Return to biblical living!!!!
(Ahem, sorry. Feminism death gets me excited)

I have always loved seeing little girls take care of babies. I remember Hannah nursing her baby and I thought it was so cute. It does start young too. There is that innate desire to love on and care for a little one. One of the reasons I've taken the pollys away right now is that that's all my kids were doing. There are so many more excellent :0) things they could be doing than dressing those dumb plastic dolls!
