Lol, sorry guys. Shock effect and all that. Heehee, it's the little things in life after all.
We are officially house hunting! We can downsize to a larger property for 1/2 the money.
Crazy economy!
I am not really sure if you all are feeling the economy like Jeff and I are. We were in Real Estate before taking on LFM.
Not as speculators as I said in a prior blog post but as long term investors. I owned property before I met Jeff as did he.
Anyway, we are some of the ones that managed our money WELL but still got the hit being in real estate so we are reconsidering what we can do.
That equals getting our outgo down...this house, though a STEAL when we bought it (ugh, that is hard to bear!) is now our biggest source of outgo....
I do like it, though it has its' problems (can someone PLEASE tell me what the rule for its/its' is?)
But we are looking at property with a house, barn, 5-10 acres for HALF the price.
Chickens & horses is a life we always wanted to try...
The house isn't as big...but I have always been one of those that could live in a double wide.
Seriously. I do not need a big house.
This is my first big house actually.
But anyway, because we are insane, we think some chickens, a horse or two and a little less outgo might be the order of the day.
The problem? It takes us like 30 minutes away....a real dilemma for someone who is as busy as I am.
We found one in Umatilla in the FOREST but I mean, if I had to go to a meeting at night and Jeff was in Vero, how could I leave the girls?
Ironically, we have always felt so safe here....even me alone. Which is rare. Cuz I'm ascared of everything.
So yes, we are trying to get out of here unless something drastic happens...we will probably put this one back on the market here soon...so that is the move thing!
(NO VERO CHERYL!)
Ok, since no one asked about the radio thing (sniff sniff) I won't address it. Lol
We're home. WOOHOO!
P.S. AM---you are the winner!!! How did you know???

Helloooo, I said can you have chickens? I think some credit is deserved for that insight!!
You are correct! Credit given!
Thank You, glad you all are staying local! I will be quite interested in a post on the real estate market and what you and Jeff forsee. Are we stuck in our homes, will it rebound..
We are also spending most of our outgoing $ on maintaining a large home in the suburbs, when I would much prefer a cottagey house in the country, but alas the market seems dismal...
Okay, it's "it's" if it is short for "it is". Just like "she's" is short for "she is". But "its" is possessive...For example: everything in its own place.
Does that help?
Since I am brilliant, I mean you did say I was superior and all and I'm just going to keep telling people that, you are correct with its' problems, because problems is plural. Now I only know this because, as luck would have it, we have been doing ridiculous grammar lessons here and this was covered over and over and over until Jane was ready to kill me. And guess who kept getting it wrong? ME! Have I mentioned that I hate grammar?
Oh, I answered how I knew you were moving in my last comment from the previous post.
I didn't ask about the radio program because I was so busy being superior. As soon as I remembered that I forgot to ask, I had already turned off the computer. So , how was the radio show?
Now, I hope everyone knows that I know I'm a big dummy and I was just teasing Steph in my last comment!
We spent the entire day out in the country and if we win the lottery, and lets face it, that is so likely, then we are moving out of here in a NY minute. I love having neighbors, but something about the country is nice.
When will you know for sure? And yes, it does sound funny anytime people say they got steal on their house. Greg and I soooooo missed that phase of real estate here in Florida. Talk about overpaying for this thing, but I guess it could be worse. We bought the cheapest thing we could find and still felt like we were getting ripped off, but what can you do?
Now I see Amy's comment and I am confused. I finally thought I had the hang of it. This is going to keep me up tonight for sure!
Okay, I feel so much better, but I also feel like I shouldn't be teaching my daughter. First of all, plurals don't have apostrophes and I know that and don't know why I said that in my last comment helps to pay attention when you are leaving comments, but did you know that I STILL, after teaching this for a solid week straight did not know that possesive pronouns do not EVER have apostrophes. No, I seriously think I may have told Jane to write its' when using possevive pronouns. Do you know how bad I feel right now? I can't teach her anymore. She's (as in she is) going back to public school. It's (as in it is) settled. The worst part? I have to go back and check her work because I'm almost positive I told her the wrong thing. You wouldn't even believe her math! Okay, so Amy was corrects, I mean correct. I never like to give false info, so I could not just leave my ignorance out there uncorrected. Now, I am not re-reading this so excuse all likely mistakes,( or is it mistake's). HAH HAH HAH
Oh, by the way, I STILL think I'm superior, so don't even think that I don't, because I do.
I know, I know... no Vero.
Ann Marie would you like to comment some more??
Just kidding, I'm watching Oh Brother Where Art Thou! I love that movie, anyway nothing really relevant to type other than I ignore ALL grammar rules. In fact I add commas and capital letters at will, and I am unapologetic, Amy!
Anywhoo
back to my movie... "is you is or is you aint my constituents?"
I love that ethereal song in that movie with the women by the water...how does it go?
You know, I cannot BELIEVE Amy thought we didn't know it's. I didn't ask about it's. I know it's is it is.
It is its or its' I am asking about. As in: Its' coat is the color of gold. Or is it: Its coat. I know that in a plural possessive that already ends with an s the apostrophe goes on the outside but why does it not on its?
How's that sittin' with ya?
I guess I shouldn't be all "I can't believe" considering not knowing its or its' is likely as bad as not knowing it's. Sigh. Don't tell anyone I'm a homeschooler.
Steph, I think it's kind of confusing myself. I would definately put an ' after the s for its, but my "grammar for dummies" book says poss. plural pronouns don't get them. I have no idea why though. I love all of my dummy books. They save me many, many times. I even have one for the bible, which I am sure is very bad and a sin, and I shouldn't admit it, but I really am a dummy and these books help.
are you still confused about its?
