Well, I leave for Clermont in an hour. It is their monthly chamber breakfast and we expect it to be something else as we started distribution there last month with our Sept issue. Our October issue focused on Clermont, specifically on their 125th anniversary and has gotten some rave reviews. Response has just been HUGE there with our 'different' publication and I must admit, I am hoping for some good words this morning.
When I come home, I am taking the entire weekend off. Ok, not really but I will pretend to.

how did it go??!
Hey C! It went great! We were all the fuss and I admit, I love it. I have fallen in love with one of the sales guys from Healthy Living Magazine, another glossy fabulous publication here. He is a Grandpa type who is always nice to me and very open about business (which is rare) and came and sat with us. My sales guy spilled a cup of coffee on him. UGH. LOL And I also felt the heat as another publication there was there and obviously NOT happy about our being there. I had one lady I know there email me and say 5 of her friends called her saying how excited they were to have this publication there. I had mentioned her in my editor's note as she has a business there and I had said, "My good friend Melinda"...so when her friends saw that they got all excited and called her. lol We're big fish now, eh? But I tell ya', the pond gets smaller and smaller....it's cut throat out there!!! THANKfor asking. You will NEVER IN A MILLION YEARS guess who we saw at a gas station on the way home.....I sense it coming Cheryl, mark my words!!!
No, it was fine. It was just J. and we pulled over and said hi and gave him a big hug. He nearly fell over dead, I tell you. Poor thing. I think we shook him up pretty badly. But hopefully, he 'got' that we loved him because we loved on him good!
