WOO-HOO!!!! Rejoicing with you all!!! :)
YEAH!! So exciting!! You go, family!
Great pics, btw!
You all look so happy. Congrats! And I can't wait to read it.
Great! Okay, now where can we get our own copy? Aren't family projects the best? Happy for you.
I've read the whole thing cover to cover and it is really wonderful! The articles are fun and interesting to read. Great job!!!
I love the pictures of it arriving at your house. How exciting!
Loved the Invisible Woman article - brought tears to my eyes and spoke to me just what I needed to hear today.
Thanks so much Melissa, I am DYING for feedback! I am so glad you liked that article. I LOVED it too!!! So much in fact, I busted it to get permission for it for our first issue. SHe is a best selling author, actress and motivational speaker. She gave permission at no cost to us with her blessing! It touched me so and made me realize, these dirty diapers, warm waffles and extra hugs REALLY do mean a lot. That means a lot to me right now when it kinda feels like PURE CHAOS around here. Working from home ladies is STILL WORKING. Lol
P.S. I first read it in Practical Homeschooling.
Tif- (Not Brain,Child) :0)
I loved The Invisible Woman article too. I got all choked up when I read it and I ripped it out and put it in my journal. I also sent a copy of it to a very close friend who stays at home with her children. We all loved the advice column. The girls were really impressed with Sloan's great advice, but they already think she is so smart anyway! Great job on your first issue and I am really looking forward to the woman's health and beauty column next month.
me... me.... I want a copy please! there's no distribution points near here! lol
Ok, I was sitting at Roberts & Roberts, waiting for them to call my oldest daughter's name. I looked over at the table with the magazines and wala! There it was, The Family Enquirer. I read it and brought it home. Great articles! I look forward to the next one...
Oh, I forgot to say... Woman, you look MARVELOUS!
You guys are the BOMB and I LOVE you and I NEED you..so DON'T leave me...it feels like I am alternately drowning and flying...lol I am about to cut all non commenting members....I have toyed with keeping or closing the blog for various reasons...mostly because we plan on this thing (mag)getting big and I can't do THIS blog without being COMPLETELY honest or it just becomes another stage of sorts...and there is enough of that, so I am going to keep it and trust in you all as confidantes and supporters... but as I said when I switched it last time, no lurkers...(except for the allowed few!) And I do ask for complete non-disclosure if I may in case I decide to "go off" on some tirade..which I don't normally do, but who knows. It has been some thing to do the mag from a neutral and middle of the road perspective. I jokingly told Jeff I would make a link on the webssite called: "What the editor REALLY thinks" haha. He actually thought it was a great idea...but we'll see. I need to talk with Pastor D about oh, I'd say a MILLION things..but suffice to say that I KNOW we can just let the mag "live the example" without being freaky Jesus lovers in it(which I totally am but would most assuredly crash the mag into the ground) and hope that just the slightly more conservative AND provocative nature of it will continue to appeal. Thanks for letting me vent via the comment section my friends!
BTW- Who said the column of Ask a Mom/Ask a Teen was SLOAN?? Those contributors are anonymous and cannot be disclosed. Sorry. ;)
