What a day! All the great ladies were here in their splendor. I don't think they know (though they will now) that I look at them through the day and notice their amazing beauty, their strengths, their weakness, their power, their love, their humor, their vulnerability, their human nature and their very spirit.
Often, I think through days like these, (4,000 kids and one and one half responsible young adults watching them)
WHAT WAS I THINKING?????
Soon after though, I come down and realize, wow. Because I LOVE them. And I need their fellowship and love. They somehow have made me comfortable in all my years, to show them my own vulnerabilty, weakness, failures. They have rejoiced in my successes and shared my pain. They have shown me true love. I have fallen in LOVE with their children.
I am learning SO MUCH.
This love is something I never got in Vero somehow. In all the years I was there!
Amazing.
