Mastering the Home

Well, here we are back in Vero! Thankfully, we left the house immaculately clean!
Epiphany: Want your house to be immaculately clean? List your home with my realtor! Lol

I just sent her an email letting her know how God had used her to bless me! And He has. I have oft thought how each area of the home should run smoothly. And it should! To bless the home, family, husband, God- we should be good stewards of everything! We should take care of all things. So, I ask, WHY is that so difficult? WHY can we not manage our homes as we should? Well, the real answer lies in some deep soul searching and repentance!
Anyway, her absurdedly discerning eye has caused me to look at it the same and I have been able to conquer (and hopefully master) many more areas...not all mind you, but more. Progress not perfection. Lest you ever think I am preaching perfection dear daughters, I am NOT! But mastering and managing your home is a blessing to your husband, a good witness to others and obedience to God. I am glad you are being trained in this and are seeing the fruits of your own efforts.
We have decided to play when we get home since there will be little work to immediately do!

Jiffy Pop Nostalgia

Well, I thought I had lost my ability to blog for forever but here we are back in business! We found these Jiffy Pops at Target and couldn't resist letting the kids get a taste of our childhood. R missed it as she was in Vero with Dad so we will have to run over and stock up. They were only a buck and well worth it. Brings back memories doesn't it?

Quilt-O-Rama

Well, the initial qult swap meeting was yesterday. I think it went well. We'll see how it goes!
M stayed after to give me further instruction on making my log cabin blocks and they came out wonderfully!!!! I stayed up half the night totally obsessed and finished them. I actually snuck another one in this morning before Kate got up. I did a different one and I can't wait to show M! Bring my camera home Daddy! I have decided to actually complete an entire quilt with these blocks for Kate's birthday and make some different one's for the swap. This one will just make too pretty a quilt to break the blocks up. I wonder if I will feel that way about all the blocks I end up making??? Well, I didn't follow the rules anyway which was to make different kinds so I'll make different kinds for the swap. I personally felt that we should have all made our own "one of a kind" blocks so that I would have each of the ladies personal block (I want to remember whose block is whose!) but general consensus was that they wanted to try different kinds of blocks so they will all be different! So mine wouldn't have worked anyway then! Now I can complete the quilt in time for Kate's 1st birthday. I must admit I am really proud of this work. M says I owe her a cutting session... I am afraid I owe her more than that.
