Stream of thought...

I keep sitting down to write my editor's thoughts...now called "Coffee with the Editor" Lol
and I keep getting distracted to blog so here I am.

We are back on our flight plan...well at least with chores! Oh, two days in and it is such a blessing! For me you think? Well sure, but really it is for the KIDS. They are acting so relieved and joyful...I realize I need to go ahead and do it with school too. Yuck. Those of you who REALLY know me know the truth that I am NOT a scheduler at all...but just that I KNOW what freedom scheduling can bring so I often revert back to it when things seem...oh I don't know, OUT OF CONTROL. Lol
And I am reminded that UNTIL the kids can consistently do what they need to do without schedules, that keeping them implemented is imperative.
See- some people go to either extreme- over tight schedules that never allow their children (or themselves) to learn how to be self disciplined and led by the spirit (sound like any Israelites you know that demanded a King?)
and others are the other way..."let freedom ring" until mold is growing out of their kid's ears...
but I think the KEY is that you TRAIN THEM UP the way they should go and then they will go forth. You do not SEND FORTH the ill equipped...why people don't get this is beyond me.
You can't be salt of the world before you are salt. But I digress...

So, we have the schedules making a comeback and why I dread making a school one I don't know. (I keep a very open school schedule when I use one. Just block out school time, that's it)Tif's post about bugs depressed me. Lisa's quilts make me nostalgic. Thank God M kicked us all out of her blog. Lol
Am I supposed to be this Mom or that Mom???? WHY does my skill set have to be about public relations and speaking in front of large audiences? WHY does it have to be (as Chewi said)exhortation (which I am really not complaining about...who doesn't like to persuade for the Truth?) but trust me, it doesn't always make for a large group of friends...

I guess I am just feeling sconey. Yep, that's my new word for when I am wishing to be back to the 75-blog-posts-earlier Mom. Sconey.
Make some you say? I can't. I fear they'll nearly make me cry and I have a meeting at the Central Florida Zoo...Lol
See? I used to just GO to the zoo but now I have to have a MEETING there. Life's not fair Simba. Gosh, am I whiney today!

So then I will be crying-scone making Mom trying to talk to a mucky muck about ad sales statistics and Lake County numbers and demographics.
Very confusing to my stay at home Mom sensibilities.

Maybe I should get a man in India...to free up some time for me. (Go ahead and explain in a comment Tif)

Anway ya'll mantis hatching, quilt making, modest dressing, zoo attending, Mom's- yesterday I, I...I...well I saw a rehearsal of Fiddler...met a Grammy award winning musician, got comp tickets to see "Firefall" and have dinner with the band (you are the woman that I always dreamed of" but really, who cares? I'd rather be home reading Dinosaur Roar to Kate. I Can REALLY read aloud well, lol) got PBS to hook up with us, and let another Mom take one of my kids to another Mom's house! (WOW did that feel weird...) But I survived it and so did she...and the Mom, well you can't beat her with a stick she's so great. (thanks so much Tif for letting me intrude...)

So as we wrap up issue number three...which was like starting from SCRATCH with a new layout designer...UGH. I realize I have NO idea where God means to take this thing but I am holding out for a good end or it just may be the end of me.

Shalom Brethren.

I love, love, love your stream of thought posts--they are probably my favorite.
I will explain "Your Man In India,"--apparently, you can hire a man in India who will answer your phone, answer e-mail, do anything for you that he can do from India to help you here. For some reason I find this hilarious!
And one more thing--Joe has "Dinosaur Roar" too and I have a pretty goofy way of reading it. We'll have to compare how we read it someday.
And one more thing--you are an amazing mom and do amazing things with your girls. They adore you, respect you, obey you, and are growing up to be amazing young ladies who are so capable! So what if you don't hatch mantises or have a quilt going. You are giving them LIFE skills! Can Lauren come make my family breakfast?

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

And you KNOW He loves you too. :)

1Cr 12:17
If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where would be the smelling?
1Cr 12:18
But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased.
1Cr 12:19
And if they were all one member, where would the body be?
1Cr 12:20
But now indeed there are many members, yet one body.

Rom 12:4
For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function,
Rom 12:5
so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.
Rom 12:6
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith;
Rom 12:7
or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching;
Rom 12:8
he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

1Cr 12:18
But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased.

Okay, you all know reading aloud is not my thing, but I too can do a mean Dinosaur Roar. We'll have to have a read-off someday :-).
